Default crank start die or crank no start try this

Had to get towed this morning. First, car would start and and quickly stall. This happen a few tries then no crank no start.
Towed to mechanic long story short they reset the computers by disconnecting battery for a few seconds.
Look up service bulletin 08-007-08 Rv. A 2006-2008 PT cruiser among other Chryslers.

Hope this helps someone in the future. Also thank goodness for AAA.

In the Service Manual is this:

It's identified as the fuse in cavity 18

But then in the Owner's Manual, it identifies the fuse in cavity 18 as:

40 AMP Green - ASD Relay Contact PWR Feed

Do you have a copy of the Service Manual?

If not, I can send you a link to download a copy from my DropBox.

Did a bunch of internet research on this and it looks as if fuse 18 is the IOD fuse for the first gen PTs with a power distribution center.

On the second gen PTs with the TIPM, the IOD fuses looks to be a pair 7 & 8.

Again, FWIW, this is from information found on the internet and not taken from any official source.
