Default cold heater core

The hoses going through the firewall to the heater core are hot, the top hose is really too hot to hold long. The heater core in the cabin is barely warm to the touch and Iím getting nothing from the heater. I popped of the radio panel and all heater cables are connected. Is there an actuator valve that the hot and cold selector goes to that letís hot water enter the heater core? If there is how is That accessed????
Almost afraid to ask!
Thanks for the help

Could also be be a heater matrix full of crap unless it's gone like that overnight. When was the coolant last changed?

You'll need to drop out the centre console from the dash and the glove box to access the operating cables for the heater. Whether it's enough access to them as much as you'll need - I don't know, but you should be able to tell if they are operating as they should be or you have a ferked valve.
You don't say which year yours is - "how to" on the console differs between Gen 1 and 2, but neither is difficult. Do a forum search and you should find explanations.

You've got basically 2 threads with the same issues (heater not working).

Heater not working

It's best to stay with just one thread to keep responses from getting duplicated and/or confusing to members trying to help you.
