Default Funeral For a Friend

Sadly, I had to sell my PT.
Petunia The Cruiser.
Too many issues and not enough money or time.
I tried, I struggled with her through thick and thin.
Countless hours under the car...
Countless hours over the car...
I really wanted to keep her.
But my time, my age and my fiances finally gave out.
I am going to miss you Petunia, yes I will.
And even more so I am going to miss all the good folks on this forum that gave me so much wonderful advice.
This is and always will be the the best car forum on the internet.
I own several other cars and no other forum is so free and willing to help out.
Keep up the good work!
For me it's the end of a year and the end of the PT era.
I will continue to read this forum and chime in where ever I think I can help out.
I thank all of you great members that made this place such an excellent resource!!

All things have their time.

Our PT provided many good memories with our young kids at Cruise the Falls, Niagara Falls, Canada. The kids are grown now, seems like yesterday. The PT soldiers on, but I understand, 18 years is a lot for a car.

Catch you on the flip side.

I think that some members on this Pt Cruiser forum including NitroPT had a lot to do with it. NitroPT encouraged all members to do their homework and a complete diagnosis for every problem that comes up before giving advice. Some members would ignore good advice or taking the time to research the issue but at the end changed to NitroPT or others members way of diagnosing problems with the Pt Cruisers after NitroPT and other members kept providing convincing information that helps fix the issues. As time went by members got to recognize and appreciate certain members for taking the time to make this forum the best place to go to when there is a problem with their Pt Cruisers. I learned tremendously from other members on this forum and not just on Pt Cruisers.

I agree with the "best forum" quote.

Now that I own a Jeep Patriot I joined the Patriot forum, and it just isn't the same.

Sorry to here all this, Bob. But like many women, cars come and they go. I'm glad you will be sticking around. You are one of the good guys that makes this forum what it is.

So long, Petunia....

Sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved and dear friend, Petunia

Despite all of her issues, I hope that she served you well while you had her

Alas, it's unfortunate that we will all face the same demise, sooner or later

But you can still stick around the forum and participate

Never thought I would get so emotional about reading something like this first post, I almost cried, that's what you did to me.
I still have my 2001 PT (107,000 miles only) and working on it, when needed, by myself and my wife as supervisor, just to keep me safe and minimize the bumps and bruises I inevitably earn.

It's true, it's a love affair of the good kind and never 'been betrayed by her; loyal, always there when needed

This Forum? That also makes me emotional, so many good people I have never met, always helping a stranger in an kind, giving way, like a good friend I never see but visit only when I am in need them. "A little selfish there friend" they never say and help me anyway. If it means anything, I appreciate it more than I can express to all of you that are here or gone. Strange how something like this can be so salient in a person's life memories but, in my life it is!
Thanks for sharing, raul
