Unless i'm missing something, you might as well bite the bullet and take it to a dealership. It seems you are spending an awful amount of time and money to try and save a few bucks.
rckstein and LionPT like this.

Only money we spent was the $130 for the 2wrong keys. The transponder was bought by my uncle and the battery is still under warranty. We really can't afford more money into it, it's been crap since day 1, spent $2200 fixing things..it still needs more stuff to pass inspection next month, but now main problem is the no start..

How much has the dealer quoted for a working key? You been without the car for several weeks now. That's gotta be worth something. At some point you gotta just cut bait. I wouldn't think it would take more than 250 bucks and a day at the dealer to get the key situation worked out.

I think $190 for the working key,but i gotta tow it.. We cant afford to do any of that for another 4-5weeks.. if that.. thats why we were hopeful that the right key that was programmed would work..

Where did the transponder come from, salvage yard?

If so, don't you have to have the matching key that originally went with that transponder?

If you replaced the transponder, but haven't yet been able to successfully start the car, how does the new locksmith know for certain that the key he has programmed will start the car at all?

Back in 10/18 you posted that the vehicle needed a new PCM.

Anone know where to get a new computer??

Did you get a replacement PCM, and if so, from where?

Did it ever start and run after the PCM was replaced?

This is from the Service Manual to program keys:

Do you have the PIN to your PT for the key?

You would have to get it from a dealership.

Never got it, so that could be it too.
