Looks good to me.

I'm surprised but yes, I quite like the look of that. I can also see Handy's storm trooper allusion though probably wouldn't have thought of it that way without it being pointed out.
If available, would I buy one? Probably not (at least until it was 10 years old or so). I prefer pre '70's mainly. Last edited by Alfie1; 15 Jul 2019 at 02:41 am. Reason: better flow |

Probably not. I kind of like the way it looks, but not THAT much. I prefer the OEM style, thanks.

Interesting. I don't see the point in updating retro. If they were going to update a 40's look, they should probably have just put tailfins on it in 2006.
The wheels look like Mercedes take-offs and the side cove looks very Mercedes GLS ![]() The rear lights with the full width panel below the main light seem reminiscent of some years of Kia Soul. ![]() FWIW, the car has been out of production for a decade and is at the low point of reputation. We love/like them, but people aren't walking around wishing for PT Cruisers. The rendering seems like good work, but considering what Mercedes did to the company I do not like the thing having so much MB influence. **** them. I'd have at least gone for race track taillights like the Charger/new Dart.

Meh. Nothing to really differentiate it from a dozen other crossovers or mini-SUVs. Yeah, it sort of looks like a PT Cruiser, but then again, a PT Cruiser was supposed to sort of look like a mid-century panel truck. So two degrees of separation just loses the design intent.
Now if it looked like this... ![]()
