Default R 134 A removal

Recently had to have 134 refrigerant removed before replaceing ac compressor on 002 ptcruiser. Removeal EST ran from 45.00 to 100.00. One shop w wouldn't remove the 134a ref unless l agreed to return and his shop replace the r134a ref.last. EST i called the shop owner said no charge.it took about. Ten minutes of his time. I had a ten dollar bill in my wallet handed to shop owner he said no charge i told him to take it and by yourself. A burger or something. He said thank you. I thank the Lord that there are still some good guy out there
Anyways thought I'd. Share.

Had a similar occurrence after changing a clockspring to fix an airbag light. Needed the codes cleared to extinguish the warning light. Didn't want to pay the dealer ~$100. Took the car to a local body shop where we had some work done earlier and explained the situation. The owner had one of his mechanics read the codes and clear them. I asked how much? He said "no charge". I ended up tipping the mechanic $20. The owner did a potential customer a favor. The mechanic had a little unexpected windfall. And I had my codes cleared. Everybody happy.
