Default Headlight stays off, and rapid fire blinker

Ok, so I have a few problems, and I have looked here a bit already.

1) Passenger low-beam stays off! I changed it last year, and it worked fine. Shortly after I noticed it was off again. Got a new bulb and chagned it and it stayed off.

I put a new battery in, and I left it to discharge hoping to reset the TIPM or whatever it is called. Left it unhooked for about half an hour. Still burnt out.

2) blinker. The left turn blinker is very rapid, and the rear blinker does not blink at all. I topped off the blinker fluid, so it isn't that. Is it just a blown bulb?

Anything else that would cause these? I am mainly concerned about the headlight, as that could possibly be something major.

The rapid blinking is done by the TPM, telling you that one bulb on that side is out, or shorted.
All Cruisers do that.

Headlight???
Check fuses.

It is the 2007...and I think that means it isnt the fuses? One thread had something about someone totally rewiring things.

Some members have used a relay to power the headlight not working from the headlight that is working. Recommend checking the ground wires first.

Check the socket where you are installing the headlight. At this age, they get brittle. You might have a crack or broken wire grounding out, as the car vibrates, shorting out the bulb.

I had trouble with the blinkers on my 2006 too.

1- On the rear blinker that is not working, dismount the blinker housing from the car.
There should be one torx screw at the bottom of the housing and a friction clip somewhere around the middle so it's easy to take out.
2- Dismount the non-functioning blinker socket from the housing.
3- Disconnect the wiring harness from the socket.
4- Put your key in a position where the blinker will light up and turn on the blinker that you are checking.
5- Go back to the wiring harness and using a multi-meter or a car voltage checker, check and see if you are getting power to the harness.

If you have power at the wiring harness then either your blinker bulb is burnt out or you have a faulty socket.
In my case the socket was bad. It was not too expensive to change.

Good luck getting that resolved.

Ok. So I just cant seem to figure this one out. Is there a way to check if the cable is shorted? The bulbs dont seem to be burnt out, just that no juice is going to the headlight to begin with

Not saying the is your fix, but about 4 months ago my PT headlight would not come on. Parking lights and turn signals along with fog lights all worked. Hit the hight beam switch and headlights came on like they should. Ended up being a bad multifunction switch. Don't think this is your problem as both headlights would not be coming on.

My 03 also had separate fuses for left and right lights, but looking on line for a 2007 owners manual, it appears your car does not have that either.

Rapid fire turn signal indicates an inoperative bulb. Turn your signal on and walk around the car to find out which one it is. Be curious if it is the turn signal bulb in the head light that is out.

Best of luck!

Looks like you are not in a hurry to fix it.

If you have the funds and want to throw parts at it until it is fixed it might get expensive.

If you just won the supperlotto I would suggest replacing the TIPM if the ground wiring are good. . Good luck.

If you want to bypass the TIPM just use an old radiator relay you are good to go.
