Default backup lamp switch

Sorry about the double post but i couldn't find the first post so i thought that it didn't get saved.

Drove it and noticed that the lamp for the reverse gear doesn't work. Since the backup lamp switch is about 80USD here in Sweden i want to order it from rockauto. Any experience with the 2 cheaper versions the're selling compared to the mopar one?

Since it is just a NO switch, there should not be any difference in the overall function. If the Rockauto-part fits I would give it a try.

When I had to replace mine in 2017 the MOPAR part was the only one available wich was an easy but expensice decision then

Cool Re: backup lamp switch

I used the Standard Motor Products one the last time I had to replace the backup lamp switch.

It seems to work just fine.

Year?
Manual or automatic?
They use two very different switches.

The manual is a simple switch that screws into the transmission.

The automatic is a combination switch: neutral safety switch, range sensor, back-up light switch. It mounts fairly deep in the transmission, you have to drop the transmission pan and valve body to change the switch (I replaced one in a '04 Neon, it was an interesting job).

So i ordered 2 standard switches while I'm at it since the postage to Sweden costs almost like 1 switch so now i'll have a spear one.
