I have spent years looking for a decent replacement hood for my '04 GT. At one point I had finally purchased a SunCoast RamAIR on eBay but the seller turned out to be a flake (or perhaps fake) and it never arrived and I got refunded. The search continued.

BUT - after another frustrating year I reached out to AmeriHood. These guys make truly GREAT performance hoods. In fact, a friend who has their Hellcat-style hood on his Challenger mas making me sick the other day - the thing has a RamAir induction on one side and a heat-dissipating system on the other. So I - in desperation - reached out to AmeriHood.

And they RESPONDED!!

After looking the project over, this is the result. At this point, the design uses their dual-air (induction & dissipation) system and will mate to an AirAid cold air intake box. It will be high-quality fiberglass and come primed, ready for paint. To build this, they need to sell more than just ONE. SO - BIG QUESTION - who here would be interested? Can we get enough commitments to get this built??

LET ME KNOW. If you have PT Cruiser friends, tell them - tell anyone who will listen. I'd LOVE to get this sucker built.

Everything depends on the price and the minimum amount of orders they need to build it.

Most of the remaining PT enthusiasts today are looking for bargains. If you post the price and it's decent, you might get some interest.

Problem with a "generic" Ram Air hood near the air intake is.....RAM WATER when it rains.
I have heard the complaints from a Hellcat friend who went to a Ram Air Hood.
Even had lots of water around to PDC on the passenger side!
