Default 2007 Base Convertible 2.4 Leak

https://www.instagram.com/p/B6jrlQ5l...d=x8lz76yla9q6

Tonight on the pavement my sons 2007 Base Convertible PT Cruiser sprung a leak of some sort. I have attached an image. It's on the passengers side about 6 inches from wheel. It doesn't feel like oil and cleaned up really easy with kitty litter. It almost looks like rusty water but it did have some dark spots. I climbed underneath and do not see anything leaking at all. The car sat for only one day in the driveway for Christmas day.

I like to get way out ahead of these things so I am asking opinions.

Thanks guys

Question Re: 2007 Base Convertible 2.4 Leak

Any snow in your neck of the woods? Maybe an odd chunk of dirty road-snow got caught up in the wheel-well, and subsequently melted on your driveway...

I'd put a piece of cardboard under the same area and see if it happens again. It's easier to pick up the cardboard and check it out than try to figure out what it is on concrete too.

I put a piece of cardboard underneath last night and this morning there was no leak stains.
Not to jinx myself but that is kinda weird. No snow in East Texas yet this year. It's been mildly warm.

Very strange. It does look redish. I checked the rack n pinion and don't see any leaks there too. If it was that, I would think I would not have any power steering fluid. Power steering levels are normal.
Thanks Guys,

Check the power steering fluid level anyway. It takes a lot of power steering fluid leaking before it fails.

Thanks Guys,
look at message before the word fails.
