my 2001 has two horns and it is ok,but my 2004 only came with one. So I added a second horn behind the grill. It was not hard and sounds better than the 2001. I left the original horn in place and hooked up.

ad a second horn from wreckers from another PT. two horns will make it 1.5 times louder. three horns will make it twice as loud. this is due to the fact that sound levels require three times the power to double the volume, sound pressure in decibels is logarithmic.

Go distinctive rather than louder. Nothing beats the nostalgic sound of a KLAXTON horn.
At 110 decibels, for $20.86 on eBay it's as cheap as any junkyard find and more than loud enough.
Set it up with the same power source from the horn button but install a selector switch in line.OOGAH

In one of their brilliant cost-cutting moves, Chrysler eliminated the "high tone" horn in 2003. There are a bunch of 'high tone' LOUD horns in the marketplace. It's easy to add one, or you can buy a brand new set of both high/Low horns. Why have a horn that sounds like a beep from a Toyota Corolla, when you can give a blast like 1966 Cadillac?

That's a cool one. A distinctive one is usually very noticeable.
