Default Chrysler PT CRUISER p 304 engine code fix

I have had an miss at idle and an intermittent 304 code for a few months now..So...
I pull #4 plug wire to find the well over half full of oil..Cleaned that up ordered new gaskets for the top cover and plug wires..CEL light went out ...few days later it's back on...So I'm thinking bad plug wires...I get my new wires and gaskets installed(RockAuto)...Still intermittent CEL
P304...So I swap 1&4 plugs reset's OK for 50 miles..then back on...p304...
So I get my can of carb cleaner start spaying it on the lower intake and the PT stubble and almost dies...
Well bad lower intake gasket...(deteriorated, cracked & brittle)
I replaced the lower intake gasket and o rings on the injectors...Now no codes...

If you have that issue then the cover is warped- and dont think a new one will be flat either...
Ultra black the shit out of the well and bottom or it wont work. Others are probably leaking too...
Also you really need to drench the plug boot with b12 carb cleaner- if a drop of oil is in there, it will just spark to the block...
Btw, all members, it really helps us with CRS to also post a quick descrip of the respective code then it would be much easier to help...
Edit, it would help to change the plugs when that happens...but with time and actual combustion, it should clean up...
Think power washing w/ just fuel...
It also contaminates the oil having a dead cylinder...

The PT is going on 16 years old...
With 93,000 miles
First time for a gasket change,
I believe just the old tired gaskets give up..
Repacked with a new set of Fel-Pro..
Seems to have done the job...
97 degrees here guys...
Steaks on the grill...
