Without knowing what hes done to his car or what he wants to do.

Cold Air intake
tail lights
spoiler
headlights
part of an exhaust

those are some quick ideas just off the top of my head

Are you in an area where he could use a good car cover. Keeps it looking good if there is no garage available.
...and welcome. Does your dad know about the forums?

$350 will get you a Stage I from Tommy Thrift at this location..Zoom, Zoom if he is so inclined. [8)]

Is his PT a turbo? $300 will get you the VAK intake/uppercharge kit from Prototypepower.com - and in your choice of colors!

If he's got an '04, get him a decent horn - search here and see posts - best/easiest is to buy stock second horn that they deleted.

More ideas -
Weathertech wind deflectors.
Take it to a good place and have his car detailed.

If his PT is not a Turbo and he likes chrome, then how about Autotechnica Grill overlay. Just about any of the bigger online stores have them, and they look pretty good. Just my .02$ [:X]

When PT's first came out, because the prop rod for the hood is so small and off to one side of the car, even Chrysler service people would try to close the hood -without- putting the prop rod down. This would result in the hood bending and needing to be fixed or replaced.

It was so bad that when I visited the 2002 Tampa Auto show, the 4 PTs they were showing all had the prop rods removed, for the show.

Hood struts are a great gift to any PT owner. It was the first thing I ever did on my PT. Blaines Struts are known for their quality and ease of installation.

Good luck!
