You are most likely expericecing a lost of vaccum in the evaporative emission control system.

The gas cap is the most normal culprit. At five years, there is an excellent chance that one of the vaccumn lines on the purge selnoid, charcole canniste or some othr connection in the purge system. This type of failure can cause other codes to be set due to interactions between systems in the ECU.

Before you throw the repair facilty and the vehilce under the nearest bus--you should do just what was recommended in an earlier post--check the "Lemon Law" documentation provided to you or the original owner for the proceedure to follow. As you did not mention any repair order being opened-no work is performed-basically no pay-no play. The pay portion can be the manufafturer under warranty or you in cash. If you are paying then the warranty is expiered as is you claim to "Lemon Law" relief.

One little thing we ran into in Washington State-is all the vehilces purchaed in Idaho from the world's largest Dodge Dealership--vehilce registration has no bearing on Lemon Law--the kicker was the state of original delivery--there are lots more little legal issues that we could spend for too many hours pecking away on the key board than are really useful.
