OK, I am a fairly new PT pwner. I bought in June. So far I LOVE my base model seamist green cruiser. She, "Junebug" has now traveled the entire California coast from the far north in Humboldt (sorry, didn't make it to Del Norte) to San Diego. The 5-speed manual transmission has plenty of pep, even over Grapevine. We have been, for the most part, driving 80 MPH whenever possible. I am prone to back pain, but in the cruiser I have no pain. It is amazingly comfortable.
My husband came up with her name- "June-bug", and yesterday when we were in San Diego a green june-bug kept flying over her trying to land. Is that not cool or what!!! I am a car owner who keeps her cars for a long long time. My first car was a MG BGT and it was the car that I have loved the most. I finally feel that I now have another car with the personality and the drive to make me really love her in the same way. This is after years of not really liking any new cars much. So, I guess I just had to share. We are really lucky to have found a make of car with both personality, and heart. Happy Cruiz'n! |

Welcome Dilly,
Glad you are bonding with your PT. They are great fun. My brother and I travelled to Mexico in his MGB-GT in 1970. Fun car but snow is not their forte. The tire chains cut through the rear wheel wells. Enjoy your PT and if their is anything we can answer, sing out.

Welcome and, Hello to Pomona CA. I used to live in La Verne when I was a kid, old stomping grounds. I've been up the grapevine nice to know the PT can make it up with no problem. It's a beautifuil drive north.
I like the PT over a mini van, PT feels safer, and still has plenty of room. The most pratical car I've owned. You know you like your car when you give it a nic name, I havn't come up with one for mine yet, but you got me thinking on it. Enjoy the ride. |

Yeah, I have only named one other car, the MG who I called Malcolm, although I did really like my Volvo wagon, often refered to as a "Swedish brick" by 240 lovers. Junebug, the seamist color cruiser has convinced me to name another car finally. Naming a car should not be forced. It either comes or it doesn't, but either way it doesn't mean that it won't be a good car for you.

Always liked the design of the MGB GT. My favorite car was a '66 Porsche 912 that got stolen while I was in the service in California..
Glad you're enjoying the PT - we do![|)] Was there a reason the subject was power door locks?[:I]

Thanks all. Yeah the MG BGT was a cute car and the cargo area was really useful. I'm hoping that the Cruiser is more reliable. My parents begged me to sell the MG because it broke down so often and they were tired of bailing me out.
