The AC in my 04 GT has never been really cold... is the PT Air conditioning weak overall, or is there something I could check?

I run the AC on my '04 Limited on 106 degree days, with the fan set on 2. It's plenty cold. I haven't had to use fan speed 3 or 4 as yet. You should probably have the service pressures checked (with gage set).

You might want to have it looked at. My '04 is giving me no problems at all, and for the last couple of weeks it's been really hot here in SoCal, mid 90s for the most part, low 100s inland. I only crank it up full to initially cool the car after it's been sitting in the sun, but after that the fan is usually blowing pretty gently and I'm fine.

Even at 112°+, the air in my '04 GT run good. Take a bit to cool down the interior after it has been sitting in the hot sun for several hours. I know that I have to open the rear windows or the moon roof a small amount to get some of the hotter air out of the interior, but after about 5 minutes, it starts cooling down real good.

But the question not answered is are you running your ac in regular mode or recurulate mode. I have found that here in Kentucky in 90 type weather with moderate to high humidity the ac is not very cold in regular mode....Have had it checked and all is fine....so I put it in the recur. mode and it will cool down fast and cold....

Even on a HOT day the PT is cool, but rszappa1 is right. Make sure you are recirculating interrior air, instead of venting in outside air. if it's still not cold after five minutes or so, have it looked at.

Tried it in recirculate mode... no difference... guess I will have to bring it in (just had it in for it's maintenance too!)
