Greetings fellow Cruiser addicts:

The date for the BIG block party is set for Sept 25th and Chrysler is offering a discount for large groups (13 cars or more) regular price is $100, but we are getting in for $40. Since I’m an officer of the Chicagoland PT Cruiser Club, our group already has 15 cars committed so I thought I would offer the discount to others interested in joining us. I will need the vin # and the $40 in advance before I call with our registration list of cars. e mail me if you want to join the fun. Gary

Hey Gary I was just checking the information about the block party and they have a premium pemit package and a standard package. I was wondering if you knew what the difference was in the two packages. Is it a definent that you have entrance to the park with the package you have arranged? I really plan on going since it is so close, I live in central Illinois.

The $40 package includes admission to the park, the premium is $90 and includes closer parking, free chair, 10% at the vendor booths and speed pass. Gary

When you go in line for the rides, the speed pass allows you to go to the front of the line with no waiting. Keep in mind the park attendence compared to what it is like during normal operation, will be low. I don't think spending the $90 is worth it, but it's your call. Gary

Yeah, so I tried calling all day yesterday to try and register to be at the blockparty as a member of the chicagoland pt club and the line was busy all day long. Did anyone else have this problem and not register? This kinda stinks because i really wanted to go but now I have to pay the big bucks to get in.
