Default Paint Advice Needed

Parked at a motel Sunday night, Monday I saw white paint had been transferred onto my car by a scrape and run.

Somebody backing out had scrapped their car against mine, and left a lot of their paint on my car.

No dent, TG! and i think all my paint is all still there, just underneath the white. There may be a line scrape, but I can't tell yet.

What's the best and cheapest way to remove the white paint, wihout repainting the almond?

All advice is welcome.

Thanks!

I'd try clay bar. Keep it moist and keep rubbing. I've been amazed at what it takes off - non-destructive, too.

Bracing myself for an insurance claim, and having to fork out the deductable, I filed a police report. Then went to the Chrysler dealer to ask if it had to be repainted.

The body shop manager took one look at it and said "That'll buff right out, I won't even charge you for that."

And it did, in about two minutes. Even what looked like a "scratch" vanished. In disbelief, I tipped him all the cash I had!

I left feeling like a happy idiot.[:I]
