Default car i 1 week old today and now this!!
hello all, last monday we traded my wifes 02 base and got an 04 touring eveybody's happy!! well this morning the new york sanition truck side swipes the car as it was parked ripping off the drivers side mirror, scratching the drivers door & fender, well to put it lightly boy o boy the wife isnt happy today!! its at the shop already hopefully a quick fix

Bummer. Maybe get an '01 or '02 heated swing-away mirror and put that on?
Mine came back perfect from a deer collision - I wish you the same.

Sorry to hear about the bad news. I worry something similar will happen with my PT. It's parked near the end of the driveway. We are in a corner lot and sometimes, we get this #@%%$^$# teens who think it's fun to go through someone's lawn to cut the corner. I'm afraid that one day, someone might lose control and hit my baby

2 "soultions" I have seen - one guy put in pieces of 3" galvanized pipe painted white at the edge of his lawn, and the other had a huge boulder put on his lawn.

OK, Bob. Somebody (I thought it was you) was hit by a sanitation truck while they were backing up in the ally/street behind him and hit his cruiser. Think they knocked the side view mirror off on that incident.
