I just finished repainting both of mine yesterday with some dupli-color black bumper finish. Gave it a very nice matte black finish and they both look like brand new bumpers now. It took me about 2 hours or less of work and well under $20 for the paint.

Hey JsChristian, what type of UV Clear Coat did you use? Did it leave the bumpers glossed or did it keep them matte?

Having a hard time finding a "good quality" clear for my projects in aerosol form. I need one to resist the fade and not get too bad with the fogging look after a 2nd light coat of it.

Last one I used I got from an automotive shop and put on very light coats (only 2) and it looked kinda whiteish. After I let it dry for a day or two just to make sure, it became a little more clear (supposed to dry crystal clear) but still wasn't what I was looking for.

I might just borrow the shop's airbrush and try it thatway with a small bit of clear. Can't seem to get good results from aerosol clears. [xx(]

I haven't actually clear coated them. I just used the bumper coat itself which was a matte finish. I used the same paint to redo part of the front bumper on my S10 I owned before this and it looked and lasted find without the clear coat.

The tape marks are covered under warranty at your dealer. Mine have been painted twice.[:I]
I would rather live with the Tape Marks then go back to the Stealer.

I also wash the Wee Beasty at automatic car washes; park it on the street where it picks up dents and dings, and let my kids eat and drink in the back seat. If it wanted a cushy life as a Pampered Garage Queen it picked the wrong owner.
