Default P 0462

After filling the gas tank, the low-gas light, and then the check-engine light lit up. The low-gas light went off, but the check-engine light stayed on.

Does anyone know what is the meaning of code???

Thanks!

Thanks Mean Green,

It may have been caused by overfilling the gas tank.

I was at a Mobil station, when a Florida Highway Patrolman drove in next to me,...and filled his gas tank!

I said "I thought you guys got your gas free?", He said "I wish."

Then I restarted the pump after it had shut off automatically and must have overfilled it.

[:I]

Do you think the light will go off by itself? ...or do I have to go to a Chrysler dealer to have it turned off?

Disconnect the battery for a few minutes.

Rather than doing it myself, I went back to my dealer and let them do it. FREE under warranty, but they billed Chrysler $25- for it.

Chrysler should have included a check engine RESET button rather, than force people to either disconnect the battery, or go back in for service for something as simple as overfilling the gas tank.

After a few thousand customers stick them with a bill for $25-, maybe they will think of that.
