I've heard of discussions about an N/A PT, which I understand means Non-Alcoholic. But what exactly does that mean?
Yes, I'm a newbie, but learning. |

Eddie,
Actually I can't think right now exactly what the N/A stands for (old age stepping in) but what it refers to is any PT without the TURBO engne.

I always thought that N/A stood for naturally aspirated which would be an old carburetor type. The new style is Turbo or Fuel injected[:I]

naturally aspirated engine:
A conventional engine that takes in air at normal pressure, i.e. not turbocharged or supercharged. The opposite is forced-induction engine normally aspirated: An engine that intakes air or "breathes" without the assistance of a supercharger or turbocharger. normally aspirated engine: An engine which uses the factory installed carburetor or fuel injection system with its normal air filter, etc. It does not use modified air flow systems which pump more air into the engine. Usually this expression is used as comparison as in My modified intake puts out more horsepower than a normally aspirated engine. Also called naturally aspirated engine or a "free breather." [author edit] Rice boys with slow Civics also call it "All Motor" lol[/author edit] Harry |
