Good news. Apparently it was the odd or different fitting on the plug of my air compressor. I used my daughter in law's cell phone charger to check the power outlets today, and they all worked.[?]

I have the base PT and my rear power outlet is not connected,no socket. Can I put one in ? Wondering if the wiring is there but just no outlet.

Instead of installing a DC outlet, try installing an AC outlet. It's good for million more uses!

I bought a DC to AC converter from Wal-Mart for about $35-, pluged it in to the dashboard and watched TV during the power blackout caused by hurricane IVAN.

Now I wouldn't leave home without it![?]

Why didn't Chrysler think of that???[:I]

Yes, it can be done, I purchased a Base model ('02), it had no aux. plugs, I installed two, one for the front and rear. The rear one is a piece of cake to install, front one is a little more difficult.

I have one of those cooler/refrigerators/warmers, I use it everytime I go to a show. When others drinks are warm because their ice is gone mine is still cold. It works in both mine without the key turned to aux or in the starting position. [:I]

Its good to late night left overs to. When you buy dinner, can't finish and spend another 2 hours out at night. [8D]

I have the lighting package in my base PT. I was suppose to have an outlet in the cargo area but it was missing. Took it back to the dealer and he installed it in about 2 minutes. I was told the wirring is there just needed the outlet. Open where your jack is and check the harness in the well it is probably there. Hope this helps.
