Default Remote Control PT Project

Well since my job is so stressful I finally broke down and bought the remote control PT from Radioshack. I got it for 14.99 plus the cost of the battery pack. I am going to try to put up a web page showing my progess as well as the finished product. The car is LIME green with decals all over it. My goal is to have the car match mine entirely. More details soon!

My wife gave me an RC PT Cruiser a couple of years before I bought the real thing. It too was green, but with just a couple of stickers on it. Not a bad little car either: 3 forward speeds, makes cool vroom vroom sounds, even has an "alarm" - hit the appropriate button and the engine shuts down and you hear a loud "beeeeep" as the "alarm" sets. It' about a foot long and has a rechargable battery pack that plugs into the underside. Other than that I have no clue who made this thing, sorry!

Anyway, I took the body off, painted it dark metallic grey to match my car, then painted the fuel door and door spears silver to mimic my car. I haven't painted on the Stull Beltline kit since adding that to my car, but I'll get around to it.

I will try to get you guys a picture. This one is about a foot long. It has a "system" in the back with subs. The subs flash and it vibrates to simulate a "thumping" action. It also plays this VERY LOUD dance/break music when you hit the button.

Yeah I was impressed with the speed of this thing. It flies!

I picked up a cheap little thing for my grandson but found out he's too young to understand how to operate it so I'm keeping it till he grows a little. In the meantime I put some flames on and take it to some of the shows to pass the time.

Just painted my Radio Shack PT inferno red last week. Looks cool with the gold wheels and gold grill. Could not (well, I did't really try) to remove the grill to paint behind it, so a little green still shows.
