Someone either tried to teach someone to drive in a parking lot OR someone was practicing drifting. []

Or they were drunk. I actually witnessed this very thing happen one night in a parking lot - heard a loud "crunch" and turned to look just as the inebriated driver stumbled out of the car and started cursing the light pole for running into him. Sad and funny at the same time.

It figures, Cicero, NY is just north of Syracuse, NY (Jim Brown-SU) and the guy probably mistook the light on the pole for the sun, which you can see from the photos generaly never shines in that part of the country The glare must have blinded him/her and he/she drove into the standard holding up the sun. Or, as Mike said they were plastered which is not uncommon in that part of the country because the sun doesn't shine mutch, ever! I Love (being from) New York![8D]

Without knowing the circumstances of that mishap, I would hold off judgment on weather the owner is at fault.
Hard to pin the blame on the pole! It was there first!

You can see the wipers were on, but to hit dead center on the pole...[B)]

Only situation I can imagine: lights on poles were off. It was dark and raining. Car was turning and headlights lit up pole too late to avoid.

Can't read license plate... does it say I M BLONDE ???? []

Though about it. Decieded it was not like TV and gave up. [:I]

Good for some one who likes to look at creepy and sometimes nasty things like dead people or bones.

That is where I park in the parking lot, just not quite so
close to the pole.
