It figures, Cicero, NY is just north of Syracuse, NY (Jim Brown-SU) and the guy probably mistook the light on the pole for the sun, which you can see from the photos generaly never shines in that part of the country The glare must have blinded him/her and he/she drove into the standard holding up the sun. Or, as Mike said they were plastered which is not uncommon in that part of the country because the sun doesn't shine mutch, ever! I Love (being from) New York![8D]
Yeah definailty could have happened. I am originally from Binghamton (an hour south of syracuse NY) and i 'm now in rochester ny for college, binghamton is in broome county or as we call it gloom county, next to sdeatle and a few other places we are the least shined on area its great i love ny

I thought I might draw you out from under those books with my coments about NY, VellianPT! I hope school is going well for you. I am originaly from Wolcott, NY in Wayne Co. When I was in HS I remember the Rochester paper saying that there had been 76 days without sunshine! Three days after graduating I drove my PT Cruiser (AKA '48 Ford sedan)as far west as I could!
John

Without knowing the circumstances of that mishap, I would hold off judgment on weather the owner is at fault.
[:I] "Honest Officer, the pole just jumped right out in front of my PT. I did'nt see it untill it was there. I think it wanted to commit suicide!

Dang those suicidal poles. I almost had one jump in front of me when I was doing donuts in the parking lot during my high school years.
