New and wondering

I'm new to this wonderful site.

I purchased my PT in August. Wonderful car until 2 weeks ago when I broke down on my way to work. Only 2800 miles on the car.

After 1 1/2 weeks at the dealership they find that the altenator was bad, The head gasket was cracked and leaking oil, and the 2 front rotors were warpped. Of course it was all covered under warranty. But, I'm wondering if anyone has heard of these problems with the PT's or had it happen to them?

Welcome, Ginger.
First alternator and head gasket problems I've heard of, and I'm on 6 PT Forums.
The rotors are another story - they're cheap, and many have had problems. Did the brake pedal pulsate when you braked? Don't let the dealer turn the rotors - that'll leave even less metal to get rid of heat and the warping will come back. Insist on new rotors.

They did replace the rotors. My understanding was that they were so bad they could not turn them. It all happened while I was driving, I thought I had a flat(the whole car was shaking so bad I could hardly drive), but when I pulled off the road and looked, I could not see anything wrong, so instead of taking a chance I called to have it towed to the dealer.

Yes, WELCOME to the Forum, Ginger[^]. Hopefully your troubles are all behind you. Haven't heard of that many problems all at once. Must we assume that you purchased it new???
