Default Hello People

Hey
Just found this site & I know that I'll be able to get some ideas on starting to personalize my wifes car. We just purchased a
2005 vanallia colored rag top / turbo. And the wife loves it to death. I belieive the first thing I would like to do is tint the windows but I'm kinda concerned that the windows roll down a 1/2" or so when tou open the door. I wonder if that will screw up the tint before it has a time to set up? Oh well will see.
Keep the peace

Eddie,

I've had all my cars tinted, and your usually are told not to use the windows for a couple days (maybe even 3 days) after the job is done. Since it's automatically going down a couple inches when the door opens, just have the tint put on up to the line where the window touches the top but not past that point. You won't notice the top of the window isn't tinted unless you have it only part way down.

Crewzin, maybe I'm missing something here,but wouldn't
the problem be at the bottom of the window when it rolls down??[:I]
I guess it could be at both ends.Top and bottom.[:I]
Leave the top down for a couple of days or does the window
still roll down a couple inches with the top down??[:I]

Welcome Eddie,
I hope you and the wife enjoy the car as much as I enjoy mine.

I agree with you - I was thinking the same thing. Isn't there a problem with all non-convertible cars with framed windows? When tinting, would seem you have to have window down a tad to get at top part of window that goes into top of frame, but that would hide the bottom.....[:I]

I had mine tinted and the tint goes up within 3/8" from the top. Doesn't bother a thing, when they are up the edge is above the frame.

Thanks for the welcome! And mife does enjoy the hell out of that rag top. The other day I swear it was 40-50 degrees outside and the wife had the top down. She looked at me and said the heater works great??? Keep the peace
