Default Looking for info on TSB 0900704?

I was wondering if anyone can give a detailed info on TSB 0900704? I remember it was passed along in our club meeting a few months ago. I only wrote down the TSB #, but I don't remember any of the specifics. I understand this TSB covers all models up to '04.

Not power steering, but if I recall, it's something about some noise heard during idle.

The time the TSB info was beeing passed around at our meeting, I was new (first meeting I attended), so I didn't know any names. Nor do I remember which person had this info.

Mine is in the dealership right now with this 'condition'
At cold startup, open hood. After about 20 seconds I could hear irregular, but constant tapping noise coming from upper valve train area.
They said two days to complete.

What a timely schedule for this service . . .
. . . 1094 days after purchase (1 day before 3-year/36,000 warranty expires!!)

Received call from dealership service . . .
They were sure it was simply the TSB . . .
Cam cap chamfering completed, put back together, but the noise still there.
They are now looking at the intake head . . .

Right now PT is sadly sitting in service with it's intake AND head removed . . . [:I]
Message they left on answering machine is they were going to replace intake . . .

2003 DCII
Purchased April 6, 2003

And yes, I did remove the Stage 1 computer, injectors, UCP, & Magnecores before bringing it in . . . just as a CYA.

And thanks again Mean Green. I AGAIN took your recommendation and had this service done in Beaverton. Good bunch of guys, and thorough, too.

. . . and when they finished with it . . .
Brand new cylinder head installed, including new camshafts, valves, springs, lifters, rockers, seals, gaskets, etc.

SURE glad I took it in when I did.
