Talk about insurance surcharge...I haven't had an accident or ticket in 20+years and I accidentally backed into my garage with the back hatch open so the hatch needed repair. The insurance company bumped my rate by about $300 a year. No tickets, not other accidents, nuthin'. I will end up paying more in premium than they paid out in the claim! I don't get it. If I had known they would do this for one small issue I would have never reported it. (sorry for jackin' the thread from ticket to insurance)

Never got a ticket in the PT. Once in the G35 i passed a cop going about 100. Put the hammer down took it to 140 and never saw him again.

My brother is a trooper and he was explaining the Stalker radar unit to me it is pretty neat. They can read your speed from any angle even when the police cruiser is moving towards you. The radar will pick you up before you can see the officer so you are nailed. Sometimes if you hit the brakes enough they might let you slide but dont count on it. Ive been stopped so many times for speeding in the past, lost my license three times, been let go a handful. Drive more responsibly now that my career is on the line.
Oh and the stalker can let the officer know if you have a radar detector plus he is certified to estimate speed +/-5mph

I got two warnings in my Nissan when I was 17 for speeding 15-20 over. One it was late at night and I was trying to make parents curfew, he let me slide knowing I was late and grouded. The second I was late for work living school late to finish a test. I remember the officer walking up to the car and telling me how he thought my car was going to sprout wings and fly away. I had run through two yellow lights one block from another going 65 in 45 mph area. I explained I was late to work because of test at school and honest about my speed, he respected my answer and gave me a warning.

My first ticket was offically in the PT at 19. I was going 65 in a 30 mph area behind a strip mall and ran a stop sign at 30. Young officer, all by the book like he was right out of the acadamy. He gave me a ticket for running the stop sign. It was 12:30 am and there was no light on the corner and the stop sign was covered by a bush. How was I suppose to see it. I had to go to the traffic school too. It was lousy, all stuff I already knew, I broke the law because of my carelessness and the cities.

county's.Not my best day.

No offence but thats a really dumb thing to do. Your lucky he didnt call it in. Even the G35 cant outrun the radio.

Yep, no matter how fast you go, the radio is even faster. My friend & I were coming back from NIU, heading east on I-88. He was driving. We passed up a cop heading westbound on I-88 when his radar detector went off. He looked in the rear view mirror to see if the cop made a U-turn, which he didn't. My buddy hit peddle & ended up doing about 120 mph for the next 5-7 miles. He finally slowed down and about 15-20 minutes later, we saw alot of state police behind us, directing us to pull over. One of the officers asked "What were you guys doing? It took us awhile to catch up to you guys". Though it was very reckless, we laughed it off. Not becuase of the high rate of speed we were going, but just the attitude of the cops.

Oddly enough, my first ticket ever, was in my PT. I was doing 59 in a 45 at night (I didn't know where I was, and the speed limit had just dropped). Which I took defensive driving to get it off my record.

The second one was me being stupid doing 96 in a 65. Luckily I received deferred judification for three months, which ends in December.

Needless to say, I don't speed that much now...
