Default Got my first ticket today

I was going 15 over unintentionally down a downsloped road. Now I have to sit in a classroom for 8 hours on a saturday to clear it from my record. I never realized how terrible getting a ticket really is until now.

My first ticket the stupid judge was giving everyone the exact same thing. 8 hour driving course and no driving for a month!

I got so mad cause the guy who was speeding, ran a redlight, and hit another car got the very same punishment as I did. But my ticket was for a small bump to another car(really, she just replaced the taillight) and I didnt speed or run any lights!

Taylor...

I believe in AZ you can do an along traffic school. So you may not have to sit in the traditional boring class with an instructor that has the personality of a lump of coal.

Be glad you can clear your record that easy. In NJ it just goes on your record and if you get over a certain number of points witch a 15 MPH ticket would be a 4 or 6 point ticket. In addition to the fine if you get over 6 points you get slapped with a 3 YEAR insurance surcharge. I got hit with this a few years ago and the cost of a couple of speeding tickets cost me over $ 1000 just for the surcharge. Tends to make you slow down.

I was caught doing 89 in a 70 zone on my way back from the "Hell Cruise". The cop gave me a warning and let me go. Some cops are cool.

And tickets from Pa or NY count in NJ, too.
I really see no harm in speeding when conditions permit - within say 15 MPH - clear roads, an interstate, etc., the illusion that it's for safety is bogus - it's for revenue. There should be more tickets for not signaling.

What is that along program? I hate that along with the fine, and the points on your record, the insurance company has an excuse to raise your rate without you leaving for another company. I think the penalty for traveling a little too fast is breaching insanity.

i got my first ticket about 2 months after i got my car. I was goin 91 kms in a 60 kms road. Over here if the road says 60 kms for example u can 20 to that. so u can drive up to 80 kms --> 81 and u get caught by radar.

Ohh and btw, u have a different system in the U.S , whats up with an 8 hour class and points.
