I've seen a company that did that with cars back in the 70s/80s. I think they would do a vette and the old bugs.

I've always thought a PT would look good re-badged as a Mercedes. And it would appeal to my wicked sense of irony.

Yup, darn near Azteck-Class ugly.

But not =that= much uglier than some of the things we have seen done to PTs.

Some of the pictures are here on this forum; rolling eyesores perpetrated by some respected members of our little cult.

But each ugly littly beast is somebodys dream; and they love it.

And we love them, because they are us.

The PT is a quiet rebellion against 'appliance' cars; a blank slate for us to clutch as a straw of individuality in a sea of conformity and tortured metaphors.

Anyone who can afford the price of admission can customize away, build our own Dream Cruiser without having to take a aesthetic taste test and get an artistic license.
