2005 Bumpers -- body color or not?

We have just placed an order for a 2005 Limited Edition with the K package and chrome package (and other options). However, I'm confused as to whether it will have black or body-color bumpers. Chrysler's site doesn't seem clear, and neither does the option list.

Anyone care to spell out which cars have black bumpers and which have body-color?

Welcome to this forum.I'm not sure on 05's,but 03 and 04
limited had bumpers painted body color.Enjoy the new ride.

Body color. Only the base edition (Classic?) came with black since '03

Cool, thanks! We were hoping for body color bumpers cuz they look so much better, but that's just our opinion!

As mentioned, we just put in a factory order for a 2005 Limited in Midnight Blue. This will be our first new car we've ever purchased, so we're both nervous and excited! We've been wanting to get a PT Cruiser for several years, and now finally seems like the right time for us. I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions in the future!

As for myself, I love cool cars. I've got a Ford Falcon, Triumph TR7, and Lotus Elan myself, with my wife's car being a Nissan Altima. The Altima (mighty fine car, if I must say so myself) is being replaced with our new PT Cruiser.

have a 2005 touring edition.the bumper is a basic black.the car is black also.all the others that were on the lot (all clolors)had a basic black bumper also.limited edition was the same too.

Oh man, that would suck. I hope the Limited with K package has body-color. I wonder why Chrysler would discontinue it for 2005?

I can see yours being black, because your car is black. The Chrysler web site shows all with body-color bumpers:

pottygranny, welcome to this forum. the only 05's I've seen
were ragtops and they all had body color bumpers.The chrysler
web site shows body color bumpers on 05's.Don't know why they would
post a pic if it's not right.

I agree -- why would they have a pic like that if it's black. But, no matter which car you build (including the base with no options), it still has body-color bumpers, even though in real-life I'm pretty sure it has black bumpers.

Let us know how it turns out. I'm still betting on body color bumpers,but I've been wrong before.By the way nice color choice.
Are you planing to add any mods or leave it like it is?
