Default Battery in the key fob

Hi all,
I was out in my PT the other day and noticed that my key fob no longer auto locked or unlocked my door. Must be the battery. Is there a good place to go and get a new one, or do I need to go to the dealer. [:I]

Thanks, John
By the way, I always enjoy reading the forums, great group of people with great taste in Cars [?]

There is a little slot in the side of the fob up by the ring end. Just slip a penny in there and pop the fob open. Take the battery to the drug store or a Radio Shack. They will have a replacement I am sure.

GTinAZ, welcome to this forum. If the battery doesn't do the trick
you will have to go to dealer and have it reprogramed.I had trouble with one of mine.It only took them a minute.

or go to Target. Mine just went out Saturday night. You can get two of them for around 6.00.

Battery number was correct but mine only has one in it. That is a pretty big battery to get 2 in there. # CR2016
