JPMS GT You bet I stood up! I've been takeing care of our cars since we were first married. (33 years this December) My Dad was a car lover too. I'm very much like him. I'm the only one that cleans and details my GT, every week. I also take care of my husbands Mini Cooper S, every week. I feel better now. I definetly think of my GT as sporty. It has that flavor of a fifties street rod and all that room in the back when the seats are folded up. Love this car to pieces. And of course, it's a freaking blast to drive.

Are you kidding me! A coat of wax once a year? Even the best wax only lasts 1-3 months under the best conditions! Come on Capt! Show love to your cars! I wash my PTGT once a week, and really detail it every 2 weeks. I take it to a place where they hand wash it, and they do an excellent job. Even clean the door jams, door sills, and exhausters! Then I drive home, use a clay bar all over the car, apply car polish to the paint, remove it, THEN wax the entire car. While I wait for the polish or wax to "haze", I wipe down the entire interior, and armor all everything. Then after all that, I polish all the chrome, including the door spears, gas door, grill, and beltline. I maintain it clean by wiping the dust off it everyday. The paint is so shiny you could use my car as a mirror. [8D]Love your cars, and they will love you! [8]I'm constantly being asked how do I get my car so shiny. And wax them at least once a month, not once a year![?]

Don't get me wrong, I love my PT but I have a love affair with my Marauder. If it is too cold I run her through the wash. Sorry. [:I]

My local car wash charges an extra buck because "It's a SUV"
But they give me some extras in return, like a scratch in my windshield from a dirty rag and two chips on my roof by the B-piller from whatever kind of body armor they were wearing.
I won't be back. Screw me once, shame on you. Screw me twice, shame on me. [B)]

[8D]You guys that spend so much time on your rides must not have jobs, children, grandchildred, spouses, pets, and homes to take care of.

I wish I had the time to spend just playing with my PT. When I first got my 2001 I must admit I spent alot more time playing with it but now it really is just a car and that goes for my 05 ragtop. That is not to say that I haven't invested over 4 grand in mods.

On of my favorite is the full toneau cover I had made so that it is a pleasure to drive with the top down even in below freezing weather, and yes it does get below freezing once in a while in Northern California.
