I bought an extra center dash panel and was getting ready to paint it today. I had lightly sanded it and when I sprayed the primer on it, those same little bubbles popped up. As I was trying to sand them off, I noticed the rubbery texture of the panel was coming off. I then used my hand and was able to remove the entire outer covering very easily. Underneath that coating is a slick finish that I will sand, prime and paint. Don't know what kind of finish was on this panel but I do know that tape won't stick to it.

Yes I had that happen to my center panel. I painted it. Problem solved and it makes the dash looks so much better.

What color did you paint the panel? I'm assuming to match the rest of the car. How much would a panel cost? [|)]

Sometimes you can find one on e-bay. From the dealer, probably $50-$60 or more. Junk yard might be an option too.

I ahd the same problem.....center console peeling badly. Try Blue 3m tape....#2090 it should stick as it has a better adhesive quality. Painting it is truly the way to go.

Yes I painted it Patriot Blue to match, tip use a white primer. My center bezel was just peeling off in chunks. Why I don't know, I always use a windshield screen when I park outside during the day, I don't hang anything off the vent knobs.

I have heard that a new center bezel panel $125 from the dealer but that was a few years ago, could be cheaper now.
