Default Cabin air filter

I have the base PT and was wondering where the cabin air filter is located, even wondering if it is on my PT. The cabin air filter kit is only $20 or so and I'd put one in if my car doesn't have one.Thought it was under the cowl under the front wipers but the dealer service guy says its under passenger dash. Anyway anyone know anything?
Thanks

hi

what year is your PT? the filter you speak of was never on any pt's until maybe 05. but the filter kit comes with every thing to install it under the cowl on the pass. side. under the washer bottle.

hope this helped? BUD

I put one in both 03 and 04, budrzgt is right on the money.
It is snap to put in.The hardest part is getting the plastic
thingy's out of the cowl.

I have a GT Turbo 04 and I only needed to pop in the filter, everything else was there already!
