Well, I sort of have a blessing in disguise. I scratched up my windshield a bit trying to remove the rear view mirror button. I was worried about the integrity of the windshield and whether or not it would crack during the cold winter months. Driving home from work today, a truck hauling some junk, didn't secure the things properly and dropped something out and had some stuff fly out of his truck damaging my windshield on the passengers side and the scratched up a car next to me. We got the license plates, reported it to the police, notified the owner. He was ticketed, I'm assuming for not having a secure load and also offered to pay the damages on our vehicles. The windshield repair person will actually be at my house tomorrow to repair the windshield and at that time. Unfortunately, I asked him if the windshield comes with the rear view mirror button, which he replied yes.

The thing is, I just got the visor part of my windshield tinted, which I forgot to claim also, but it's only $20 to replace...no biggie. The only thing too is, I wasn't too happy with the visor tint. It comes about 6" down from the center, but due to the curviture of the tint, comes down even further (about 8") on each end. I will ask the tinters to make it an even 6" down.
