...Dunno what their expectations were, but I read that over 10% of SRT owners went stage 1, which is very high, IMHO...
Found this post made today elsewhere on these forums:

I just ordered the '04 pedals from Tommy. I asked about Stage II. Although he hasn't talked to Mopar, he doesn't think it will come out because of the limited market . Not enough people have purchased Stage I to make a good business case for it. I'll soon jump on Stage I since it really looks as though Stage II won't be coming out at all.
I am hearing this more and more the past couple of months. It's my WAG that the chance of STAGE 2 coming to market now is less than 50%. If it is not available by next summer then, IMHO, it won't happen. [B)] Just my two cents. [8]

Other than being bull****...I wasn't aware that Car Companies share VIN details with the police on a regular basis. If these ricers can drive around with half the crap they have on their cars, 4 totally OEM injectors and a PCM that says MOPAR cannot get your car towed. If this is DC's idea behind the Stage releases, then they are the biggst idiots known to man.
Find another dealer and tell him to get his sh-t straight.
So frickin typical about the morons at these dealers.
This philosophy will be how they service your car and they WILL try to attribute every problem with your car to Stage 1.

Uh, hey CREWZIN ol buddy, have you ever had a car towed involuntarily?
Joe,

To answer your question the way you put it, YES. I've had several cars towed (in the line of duty...see profile). Police/Sheriff's Office don't hire anyone. Several different towing companies are usually under contract to the departments on a rotating basis...therefore no one towing company gets all the towing jobs. But, agree that they don't come to tow a vehicle with kid gloves.

To answer your question as if you meant me...I've had to have my Vette towed twice, making sure it's a flatbed and caution is taken when lifting it onto the bed. I also stay with the car from pick-up to drop-off point.
So you have actually got a call from a dealership and went out and had the guys car taken away from him because he modded his car? Congratulations, you get the prize.

HUH??? How did you get that out of what I said? [:I] Sorry, I think you mis-understood something. I've had cars towed for illegal parking or being abandoned or found stripped after being stolen. Never got a call from a dealership, and nothing at all to do with mods. Heck, if cars were being towed because of mods, mine would be first on the list.

Don't be too hard on the service managers. They're just people, some cool, some idiots. Repairs will be paid either by the factory for warranty work or by you for off warranty work. They really don't care. They don't work for the manufacturer.
Treat the idiots like the pinheads that they are. Butter them up to get what you want. Like: "But you're a car guy like 'us' so you wouldn't void my warranty, would you?" "Dealer X, across town never gave me any problem, but I'd like to start coming here because you're closer."

I am not treating the service manager bad at all, nor would I give a bad rap to my local dealer. They have treated well beyond the 5 star than they deserve. Unfortunately, the info they receive may not be correct.

Like Crewzin, I spent a number of years standing behind a badge, and have never seen or heard of anything like it.

I think the proper term is "male bovine excrement".

I would never say or do anything to a dealer or SM that could be as misconstrued as the information they attempt to shovel at you as fact. Whether it is or not, it is backed up by flawed dealership/corporate policy that is constructed around finding ways to get as much from the customer while doing as little as possible. Maybe that's a generalization, but it may explain why you get a knot in your stomach whenever you go in for a service problem at a dealership...
