Default Changing Bulbs in 3rd Brake Light

Hello all,
as I was leaving my friends home last night I got a call to tell me that the left bulb in my 3rd brake light was out. How hard is it to change this? Does anyone know the steps?

jmack,

EASY.....Open the hatch. You'll see that the third brake light is covered by a piece of cladding about two feet long, thinner on the ends. There's two snaps on each end (you can't see them) so start at one end and pry that end out. Pull firmly but not too hard, and you'll see how it just pops out. Then go to the opposite end and pull out on that end. There's nothing in the middle. once you have both ends off the whole piece just comes off. From there you can see how it's all put together...a screw on each end if I remember correctly. Good Luck.

The bulbs just pull out and push in.. #912 Sylvaina is a direct replacement.. and you might want to replace all three at the same time.. I didn't and they all died a week apart, so I had to open it up three time.. [:0]
