Default Whats a good gun-rack for a PT Cruiser??

I just bought a new "toy" today (Stoeger Coach gun, 12ga side-by-side) and I also have a smaller rifle. I was wondering what would be a good gun-rack to use in my PT Cruiser?? Only have two guns now, but hopefully I'll have many many more coming. Thanks!!

You have a good idea going on. Although I would never put a gun rack in my Pt. However it may come in handy.

A hard case to hold your guns. Most states do NOT allow guns to be carried uncased in a vehicle[xx(]. Before you get to excited about where to mount a gun rack, please check with your local law enforcement. I have been a hunter for 45+ years and am a NRA member for almost 35 years. Nice choice of guns tho!!!

I always thought the small shelf under the seats could be useful. [:I]

Just had an idea for a good place. Mounted to the back of the seats, it would be covered by the rear shelf and no one would see them until the hatch was opened.

They're only made specifically for trucks, but maybe if you found out the sizes, you can find one that might fit the Cruiser... [:I]

Here's the manufacturer's site:

Good luck!

I like your thinking. Would a long gun fit across the rear hatch area of a PT? I just measured under the shelf and it is at best about 43 inches. You could mount somthing under the rear shelf.

Well, I live in the city, so I can't use one here, but I go to WV every-other month or so and we go shooting out in the middle of no-where on my Family's land. I like the mount behind the back seats though... but I always keep those seats folded down.

This would be illegal (for reveolvers/semi-autos pistols) in many states unless you have a Concealed Weapons Permit. And then, you need to be in the vehicle with the weapon and cannot leave it unattended.

As soon as you leave the vehicle, you carry it. [B)]

Sure, but who really fellows the rules anymore.

Konkeler is talking about a shotgun so the laws in most states regarding handguns are not relevant in this case. Laws vary significantly from state to state. Check http://www.nraila.org/GunLaws/Default.aspx# for more information.

I love the double barrel, double triggers. I have my Grandfather's and it is one of my most prized possessions.
