I drove through some ice a week ago.

Holy crap, thats awful. Drive to N.C. and that stuff will melt in no time. Was 70 degrees today.

I had a worse commute this morning than yesterday
It was above freezing by a degree or two, but there was a stretch of about 10 miles where there had been freezing rain yesterday/last night and coated branches of the trees - then wind came up, broke all the ice off and some branches and deposited it all on the road an inch or two thick. I could only do about 30 mph thru that stretch....[:0]
