Default 29000 km service

Ok just took the PT in for its 29000 km service here in good ole Mississauga (Toronto) Canada

WOW pricey

They did a lube n oil n filter
Tune up with plugs and two filters
rotate and balance tires
Brake inspection
OH fixed a tire had a nail in it..
Recall of power steering hose thingy (LOL)
Clean and service rear brakes
Shampoo engine

Total Labour 299.75
Total Parts 67.48
GOG what ever that is 11.00
Misc 15.99
TAX 59.14

Total $453.36 Canadian Funds

I think thats a lot for a car with only 29000 km on it...

but I must admit the brakes dont make a noise anymore,, and seem a bit more peppy .....

SO ya just know I had to wash it on the way home another $10.69

OK I HAVE VENTED I feel much better now LOL

GOG may be comparable to our waste disposal fee, charged when the oil and filter must be recycled properly. I could look up the labor rates for you, but as many here will agree, the dealer charges for every little thing and gets top dollar. On the other hand, the mechanic gets flat rate and if they are good, deserves every penny.

I do all my own service so never took it in to find out what they charge here in Florida for the PT, but my wife's KIA was just in for her 30,000 mile service. Cost me $349.00 and they knocked off $20 because an oil change was part of the total package and we get all the oil chnages free for life when we bought it.

They did a tranny and radiator flush along with various other checks.
