Hey Mike-in-orange, how did the track day go? Inquiring minds that were too busy to get up there want to know.

Because it was the first opening season of street legal drags, it was extremely crowded. Another cruiser and I were not able to participate in it, because they ran out of tech cards (400 cars allowed). Mike-in-Orange, LiquidPT, and AUSMPT were the last 3 to get tech cards.

All of them were not able to get into the 14's, the traction on the track was very poor. On crowded days, California Speedway really don't put that nice sticky stuff as often (MVT~something like that). The S1 Cruisers were pretty much stuck at 15.1'seconds the whole day.

Hopefully, March will be a better time, but I'm afraid the times won't be better till April. I expect March to be crowded again and another poor traction day will result (there is no February races).

Bummer, PTGT_Boy. No wonder Mike hasn't been replying. No tech cards is why we have illegal drag racing on the streets. The time change must have had something to do with it.
I thought you traded in for a Nissan 350GT, or am I mistaking you for someone else?

John

A Nissan 350GT would be equivalent to a Nissan Skyline or a.k.a Infinity G35 [].

Yes, I have a 350 Z [8)]

For Mike-in-Orange, he's not allowed to post at this site, but he can still view it. I don't know the whole situation on this, but I'll leave that to the admin.

Mike hasn't replied on this site, because he can't anymore.
FYI.
Not meant to be provocative, just so you know that's all.

Sorry, I know it's a Z! Thanks, Doc, I'll give Mike a call.
