I know the headlights are 9006XS, but I thought somebody put 9006 in there PT. Theres like only 2 companys that make 9006XS bulbs. I hate ST and the others are some cheap E-bays, unless somebody knows some better ones. I was wanting to know what he did for them to fit.
Thanks Steven |

I think the differnce is just the socket - one is straight and the other has a 90 degree angle. I put Silverstars on my lowbeams and foglights and I got no better visibility in terms of coverage area. The light is whiter, but not brighter and does not show any more road up ahead.

NOTE: Corrected Post
The 9006 has a 90 degree angle for the plugin connector while the 9006XS is straight. The Silverstars are 55 watts so while they are whiter, they are not as bright as the 70-80 watt bulbs. Unfortunately, bulbs over 55 watts tend to fry your wiring harness after awhile.

Yes- they WILL fit. Just be sure to PUSH HARD and make sure that they are fully seated under the 3 retaining clips else, the filament is NOT in the center of the reflector (focal point) and the light beam may be off.

Nice photo, but I don't see how that makes me wrong. I just said one is angled and the other straight. I can only answer for the silverstars - you cannot fit the bulb that is designated for lowbeam into the foglight and you cannot designate the bulb that is designated for the foglight into the lowbeam because one has a plastic sleeve that a nub fits into and the other has two. Unless maybe you file them down.

I don't understand why you'd screw around in putting the wrong bulb in the wrong sockets. Things are made for a reason. Look in your owners manual and put the right bulb in. Everything as a designation and a wattage they should run at.
I have a 12gauge shotgun but all i have is these 9gauge bullets. You figure the bullet should come out better with less resistance in the barrel...right? Same mentality.

Contact Adam, aka, baggedptturbo03. He's got an awesome set of luminics bulbs. I have the hyper whites installed and they make a night and day difference. Same 55 wattage too, not that expensive either. [8D]
