Default Did the PT bring you over to Mopar?

Just curious. Personally the only other Mopar I've ever owned was a used K Car (Aries) I bought for my daughter to drive to college. I've always been partial to Chevrolet. However, when the PT was introduced I knew I had to have one.

Are you a life long Mopar person or were you drawn by the PT.

The prototype shots of the Chevy HHR competition just don't do it for me. Way too modern, way too SUV. If they would retro it more I'd consider that one too.

The PT called out to me. She said "Come closer"

I said "YES!"

"Closer Still"

"What"

"step back a little"

"Are you my car?"

"yes I am"

I still get tears when I tell the story

yeah we had an 83 aries wagon. it was eh.
then ordered an '89 Grand Voyager but transmission problems plagued them so the dealer would not deliver our vehicle with the 4spd auto could only get a 3spd we said no way. got a mazda mpv the next day and still have it with 266,000, vowed never to buy a chrysler again.
saw the cruiser, got it, love it, definitely not an automatic this time. wouldnt go mopar but possibly consider a jeep product.

Always been a Chevy man, always will, but will buy anything from anybody if I like it. I needed a 4 door car when I was moving to Florida and the PT "grabbed me by the horns" when it hit the market. Never gave it a second though that it was Chrysler/Mopar. If KIA would have come out with the PT at the time I was looking, then that's what I'd have.....and the wife liked the KIA so we have one of those too.

Always liked Mopars. I have owned 24 cars, 15 have been Mopar. Subtract 5-6 that fell into my ownership or were just cheap transportation and it gets even more lopsided. Most have been E bodies. The PT is my first new car. Prior to it, the newest was 9 years old, but had 250k. Lowest mileage was a 12-year old 'cuda with 75K. Still have the race car (71 Cuda), the muscle car (72 Demon 340) and the street rod (40 Plymouth+ parts car). I'd have a Ram Truck for towing, if I could trade straight across for the rusty 454 Suburban I got cheap.

The PT's my first-ever North American car; I traded in a BMW. There's nothing else that looks so cool and works so well.

My family has had Mopars since 1963. There have been a few 'off' brands here and there, but at least one of our rides was a Chrysler product. Although my PT is the first Chrysler branded auto.

I had a Volarie (sp?) back in the mid '70s. Wagon, slant six, 4 on the floor, rusted fenders, no air , no nothin'. Other than that, always been a GM man.
Untill '97 when I got a Dodge Ram. Thought it looked good for a pickup. Traded that in on the PT. Thought that looked good, too. I waited untill they made the Turbo before I dipped again into the Mopar gene pool, though. [8]
