I understand that if the PCV valve spring doesn't operate it can make the car hesitate and miss. It's easy to check and alot cheaper and easier to replace
Okay, where's that? Isn't it connected to rubber hose? Just haven't spotted it, but then, haven't looked for it. [B)]
Car seemed fine on way in, but PCV valve I've done on other cars - usually cheap and easy to do, so why not?
It's on the right hand side of the valve cover, screwed in sideways. You will see the tubing connected to it going to the (depends on year) either the hose from the airbox to the throttle body, or straight to the air box.

Back to the EGR question. I replaced my spark plugs about a month ago and only had to remove two bolts that attached the TB to the "engine". I used this as a guide:

I did not see the EGR valve.

Check again, you had to remove 2 other bolts and pull the manifold towards you to pull it off of the egr's tube.

2 different sized bolts, and one on the throttle body. Is the EGR valve at the other end of that tube? [:I]

Here's the EGR tube with the 2 different size bolts (8mm & 13mm I think). Is that the ERG valve that it's attached to?

Where was the person standing when they took that picture that Crewzin posted? Like I said, I just removed the two bolts on the TB and I was able to pull the manifold off and hang it via bungy cord to the hood. When my I get home tonight, I will look for the EGR again.

For orientation, the white object with the yellow cap is the windshield washer bottle. Good work Crewzin!

Guys, I'll take credit from bringing the picture here so you could see the EGR tube, but thank Pat Blue Cruiser for posting the link to the Imagestation photos where it originally came from.

Well I checked again tonight and I do not think I have a EGR valve. Is it something only automatics have? See for youself.

If the picture does not work, please go to http://f2.pg.briefcase.yahoo.com/platinumneon and look under EGR valve.

Let me know what you think, SuGamer.

-Andy

P.S. If you want you can check out our road trip we took last weekend in Southern Indiana. There are a couple of cool pictures.
