If you search the forum database, you'll find that I was the first PT tech to recieve and install the NGKs that are designed specifically for the 2000 & newer 2.4L & 2.0L cylinder heads.

They are fine for a non-turbo PT engine.

However, they work the same as Champion and Champion were designed for the Chrysler engines and are sold by Chrysler, stocked by Chrysler, and warranteed for 5 years and unlimited mileage BY Chrysler. I will stick with the parts the car was born with.

Are 8.5 mm wires a good choice or should I go with the 10mm ones. Are the 10mm wires overkill? I'm going to go with the champion regular platinum plugs over the double platinum (more for cost than anything!)

Doubt our beloved PTs NEED 10mm, but it's your money..
As explaination for the double platnums, old cars had a single coil and the DC spark travelled in one direction. On modern (distributorless) cars, each coil feeds 2 plugs in series. This means the spark travels (for want of a better description) up one plug and down the other. When you pull out the old plugs, notice the wear. That's why if you are going to buy platinum, go double.
