Default Air Conditioning Beef-Up

I live in AZ, and in the summer, my a/c isnt as cold as i think it could be or was. What is the best way to beef-up my a/c without breaking the bank? Freon?

It doesn't use Freon. Have a good A/C shop check it first...

No, I live in the east valley, and I was just wondering if there was anything I could do to make it colder.

If it's running correctly, it should freeze your fingers off. Do as Purple04 suggested and get it to a good shop that can check it out.

ok thanks. Ill do that. Proxeyed, when you installed your k&n fipk, did you feel a big difference in power? It doesnt look like im gonna be able to turbo my car for awhile, so im thinking about taking the cheaper route for a little more power

Your AC uses R134. You can buy an expensive recharge kit at the auto parts store that will let you add more to the system. It is better to by a mamifold kit with gauges and see where you are at though. My best advice is to just have a good AC shop test it. If you are low it will not be as cool and they can shoot a pound back in the system if it needs it.

Agreed. Too much is almost as bad as too little in A/C performance.

I did an AirAid, and the K&N is even better than that - you WILL feel the difference, particularly on take-off when you give it a lot of gas.[?]
