Default acknowleging other PT owners

Question guys, maybe its New Jersey owners, but I've owned other cars, (specialty cars) and we would always wave or flash lights at one another as a jesture of commoradary. My kids ask me all the time who the heck I'm waving at because no one waves back. Wassupp with that???? How is it in other states?

At least my kids don't ask anymore. They know

Seems to be a pretty mixed bag here in NC, I wave all the time. The few PTs with some kind of mods wave back about 80% of the time. Those with out, about 30-40%. Most of those seem to be the "who was that" wave. [:I]

Seems alot of folks are getting new "classic editions" as simply transportation, not "cruisers", they don't seem to know or care....

My favorite *has* to be the older black lady I met in traffic. I'd not seen the car before in the are, but it was Patriot Blue, billet grill, carson top, conti kit, beautiful car.

Waved like I was her long lost brother, returned from the dead!
Wish I'd had chance to meet her....

Gonzo-
I still get 1/3 -1/2 returns on light flashes or Aoogah horn toots. I find women are more likely than men to wave back.
I'm in Joisey, too.[:I]

Mixed bag here in my part of Florida. Most PTs around here are bought for cheap transportation and the owners/drivers could care less about seeing other PTs on the road. You can tell by the condition of the cruiser itself...the brake dust on the wheels has never been touched and the chrome/plastic wheels are pitch black. [:0]

I've noticed here in Northern VA that I receive waves only from convertible owners. If I wave at a 4 door, they look at me like I,m crazy [:I]

Here in metro detroit no one has EVER returned a wave to me, in fact they look the other way to avoid looking at you, really its kinda funny to watch it happen, now my kids wave to all other pt cruisers just to see them turn away, too funny.[8)]

i only get about 1 wave back for every 5 i wave at. Mostly only other white PT owners wave back. i miss the good old days when i used to take the car before it was mine, people waved all the time.

I wave or flash the lights when I see mods. The trouble is from the front you can't tell until it's too late! They should have put "CB radios" in all Cruiser's so we could just say "Howdy".

I had one guy waving me down like he knew me or something and my wife was like who is that? I said "I don't know....but it's just a PT thing"[^] She looked at me like I was crazy.

Also a mixed bag here in the Windy City...[8)]
